So leave the crowded centrum of the city behind you and dip into the local areas and our favourite restaurants and bars in Amsterdam South and East!

Louie Louie

Linnaeausstraat 11, Amsterdam East

This trendy bar in Amsterdam East has a super cute terrace in the back, where you can chill during warm weather.
Beside really nice wines and coffee they also serve some nice dishes!

In summer you will find us on the terrace hanging out with friends or reading a book, while in winter we prefer this place to go out and enjoy its buzzing night life.

Benji’s Oost, The urban jungle!

Wibautstraat 196, 1019GS Amsterdam Oost

Benji’s is definitely one of our favourite breakfast spots and probably our most frequented cafe.
It serves coffee, smoothie bowls, wraps and sandwiches.
While Lena always goes for one of the tasty smoothie bowls, changes Aga usually between three yummy wraps.

MaMa Kelly

Olympisch Stadion 35, 1076 DE Amsterdam

MaMa Kelly is not only one of the best restaurants for colourful Instagram pictures, they also have delicious food!
Even they are well known for their lobsters and chicken, they also do offer vegan options.
We love this trendy restaurant is all in pink! And it has decorations to die for!
Btw. they really know how to make a great Pornstar Martini!

de Tulp

Marie Heinekenplein 33, 1072 MH Amsterdam

This cosy and and bubbly bar is conveniently located right in the heart of the Pijp in Amsterdam.

It’s super good connected and that’s why perfect to catch up with a bigger group, that comes from different areas.
de Tulp offers not only cocktails *nom*nom*nom* but also nice snacks, a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu.

Mr. Stacks – Pancakes & Tea

Govert Flinckstraat 122, 1072 EM Amsterdam

You will find us quite often at Mr. Stacks having delicious vegan pancakes for breakfast! It’s a sunny place, that even brightens your mood, during the typical Dutch rainy weather!

If you dream of a big choice of vegan pancakes – Mr. Stacks in the Pijp is definitely the place to go!

Brooks

Beethovenstraat 43, 1077 HN Amsterdam

Not only is Brooks a super cosy place with amazing coffee and small dishes, where you can hang out with your laptop, they also have a delicious lunch menu and offer for dinner small global dishes.
If you like this and the social dining concept you definitely can’t miss out on this spot.
Also very conveniently located close to the Amsterdam RAI.

And last but not least, you can meet Aga there!

De Plantage

Plantage Kerklaan 36, 1018 CZ Amsterdam

So far we’ve only been once to “De Plantage”, cos it’s a bit pricey. Even for Amsterdam!

If you follow us on Instagram you will know that we treated ourselves on Valentines day with this beautiful place located next to the Amsterdam Zoo.
And beside a stunning atmosphere it was the best vegan dinner, I (Lena) ever had in my life.

A must for every vegan gourmet and the perfect spot to take a vegan for a romantic date!

This was a small selection of our favourite restaurants and bars in Amsterdam South and East.

ich glaube, da waren wir auch mal mit den Kollegen nach der Arbeit, zum Billard.
Aber da war so viel Alkohol involviert, dass meine Erinnerungen eher verschwommen sind 😀
